We are very happy to be hosting Back to the Roots: A collaboration between Twende Dance Project, Casa Lucia and Spring Academy

A two day African Dance & Dance therapy Workshop for all ages: 17 & 18 August, 18:30-21:30 with Sammy Gian & Alexandra Katsarou

For 4 days, 27-30 of April, Casa Lucia is hosting the Pilot Spring Academy, an opportunity for everyone to make offers and requests to set our learning days. 

Normally only members and external partners of the Spring Academy learning community can make offers and requests. We are opening this out to the public so we can experience together how self directed, democratic, agile learning happens.

This is an opportunity to experience how Spring Academy works, in person or online.

• Here you can submit an offer: something that you want to show, explain, study, research, share or question.
• Here you can submit a request: something that you want to learn, see, experience, read, play with.

The Program is in constant evolution as it is based on community offers and requests for learning. We will then match these requests and offers in our Pilot S.A. KanBan and set our days in our program.

You can follow its evolution on our KanBan. When we are working on it you can see the process!

People of all ages, as well as teams can make requests and offers. It doesn’t matter where you are, we will find ways to connect and share.

We look forward to setting our learning environments together.

We offer all events with a contribution of your choice.

In cases where there are expenses / payments to be covered, we will take care of it collectively, with financial co-responsibility.

Your contribution (whether you participate or not) here is necessary for us to achieve this.

In Spring Academy’s normal operation which begins after the Pilot:

• members participate in all activities for free
• non-members participate with sliding scale contributions

Regular Spring Academy

Our regular program starts in May.

Community processes (meetings of circles and working groups, discussion circles, etc.) are included in the learning process and some of them are for members only.

Most of our events are open to the public.

As in the Pilot Spring Academy, our program is in constant progress as it is based on offers and requests. You can follow its evolution on our General KanBan.

Αrt of Listening: how do we listen?
Ιnner inquiry asking questions of the self: reflecting on what has been, what is now, what will be.
Αnatomical guidelines regarding body systems, their rhythms, pulses and fluid flows ~ the underlying forces that determine how we function.

Whole body evaluation ~ the body as a whole expresses a widening from side to side in inhalation, followed by a narrowing in exhalation ~ a significant diagnostic tool.

Integrated CranioSacral Biodynamic study programs may provide a therapist, body ~ worker, with an additional resource tool for inclusion in their already existing practices.
ICB is an extremely powerful tool offered to the receiver by extremely gentle touch.

Rosemary Wallace - Facilitator
Rosemary has a passion to motivate, to inspire, to facilitate.
She presents the study programs in an uncomplicated workshop format. Her facial expressions, unorthodox descriptions of bodily movements and the ability to side step answering most questions are renowned!
Her very special quality of listening to life and to a kaleidoscope of beings, plus the quality of her presence are already a gentle and smiling invitation to perceive from a different perspective, ourselves, others and the environment in which we reside in the universe.
She travels the globe as an itinerant facilitator, sharing her deep, gentle and passionate knowledge of the fluid flows and tides within the systems of the body, to those who wish to listen and learn through inquiry ~ laughter is always an integral component of all presentations.
As a thanatologist, Rosemary has been privileged to work in hospice and hospital environments and with individual families as their loved ones approach their final days of life. The application of Integrated CranioSacral Biodynamics, gentle touch in this setting, is profound.
