Our check-out time is 11 am, and check-in time is 2pm. If you are arriving a little earlier than this, we will accommodate you in the reception area until your cottage is ready. The same applies if you are leaving later than this. The swimming pool of course is also at your disposal. We try to avoid any delays but on busy changeover days, usually Mondays, this is sometimes unavoidable. You will be offered a drink while you wait.
Night-time arrivals: if you are arriving during the night, the usual procedure is to leave lights on in your cottage and a note on the Reception door indicating where you should go. In the event of any problems, you should ring the bell at Reception. In any case, it is always helpful to know your estimated time of arrival.
Taxis: all taxi drivers know Casa Lucia: the usual fare from the airport is 35 euros.
Drinking Water: We have a filtering system. The tap is just past Estia to the right. Please help yourselves. The tap water in the cottages is hard but clean and can be used for cooking, teas, coffees, teeth and washing.
Linen: all bed linen, towels including beach/pool towels and t-towels are provided. We provide swimming towels: please keep the white towels for the bathroom. Baby cots and high chairs are available free of charge.
Smoking: please smoke outside only. Smoking anywhere indoors is not permitted.
Maid service: the cottages are cleaned daily except for Sundays and public holidays. Towels are changed every day if necessary; bed linen twice a week. Unfortunately we do not have time to do the dishes.
Provisions: there is a hair dryer in each cottage, and an iron can be provided on request. Ceiling and table fans are in each room. For ecological reasons we have installed neither air conditioning nor television. A folder of information on Casa Lucia and the island of Corfu is also provided.
Welcome pack: the following items are placed in the cottage free of charge for your arrival: milk, tea, coffee, sugar, yogurt, bread, butter, and fruit. We also provide soap, washing- up liquid, matches, toilet paper, face tissues, anti-mosquito devices and tablets, beach umbrellas.
Swimming pool: please make sure that young children are always accompanied at the swimming pool, and that the gates shut behind you.
Telephone: available at Reception
Wifi: available in most areas. There are two servers:
-close to Reception
-close to the drinking water tap.
The White, Red, Stone, Gardener's and Yellow cottages have cable connection and we are expanding this service to further cottages. In our effort to reduce radiation pollution at least at night we turn Wifi off between 11pm and 8 am. If you need internet in these hours or do not have the necessary connection please let us know.
Medical Assistance: There is a government Health Centre at Pyrgi, just past Ipsos. We can recommend a local GP and specialists. The hospital is at Kontokali, 6km towards Corfu town.
Siesta time: 3pm to 5pm
Kalliope Giannouka’s organic farm: olive oil, honey, vegetables, herbs, eggs and more delivered to your cottage upon order. Orders can also be placed in advance for your arrival.
Public Transport: The Green bus stop is at the bottom of our road. There is no sign, but buses stop just where our road joins the main road to go north and northwest or opposite to go to Tzavros and into Corfu town: you must flag them down. The Blue bus stop at Tzavros goes to Corfu town in one direction and Dasia and Ipsos in the other direction every 20 minutes.
Musem opening times: from April until the end of October the National Museums of Greece are open from 08:00 to 20:00 every day including Sundays.
They may close on certain public holidays.
Great News: the Archeological Museum in Corfu town is open again after many years of extensive renovations.
The famous Gorgon and Dionisos Pediments from the Temple of Artemis are wonderfully displayed, the videos showing reconstruction of the Temple and other artefacts are impressive, and small items have been imaginately re-grouped.
Entrance 3 euros.
Closed on Tuesdays.
