Friday 20th of May, 20:30: “Many voices, one breath”

Α performance presented by Niskriya in the context of the two day workshop “Velvet Voices” that will take place on the 21^st and 22^nd of May. The performance is free and lasts approximately 40 minutes. It includes voice improvisations presenting the different voices that each of us carries inside. Once these Voices are discovered, one can use them consciously, with awareness and playfulness. After the performance Niskriya will be available for questions. Looking forward to see you there.  

Saturday 21^st of May, 12:00- 14:00:   “Mantras”
A Mantra workshop for under 18s.

Mantra means inner sound, a song close to the soul, like a global prayer. For children and young people it is something more: a different way to come close to the spiritual self without ritual or ceremony: just by playing with sound.
In this meeting we will learn some easy and simple mantras from American Indian, African and Indian civilizations. We can all sing mantras and there is no right or wrong way. When all our voices will become one, singing has united us. This is the purpose of singing.

Saturday 21^st of May 16:00-20:00 and Sunday 22^nd of May 12:00-16:00: “Velvet Voices”
A Voice and Improvisation workshop for adults.

This workshop is for everybody who would like to explore and trust her-his Voice. People working on a daily base with others through their voice, like teachers, salesmen, actors, will find keys and inspiration. Others seeking truth and clarity in their expression will have new insights and experiences. The most precious moment in our workshop is when we touch the velvet of our Voice; an area within that vibrates warmth and beauty!
Many people comment that after the workshop they have found a new kind of freedom in their expression and communication.
This technique gives the tools to use the Voice with awareness, to heal blockages and knots in the throat and to dive trustfully in the magic of singing improvisation.

Niskriya-Elena Kazantzidi studied Voice work in Italy and Switzerland. She holds a diploma from VOICING institute and since 2008 leads her own groups and gives sessions.
